Their web site says that "Florida PIRG is an advocate for the public interest. When consumers are cheated or the voices of ordinary citizens are drowned out by special interest lobbyists, Florida PIRG speaks up and takes action."
ACORN (Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now, Inc.)
ACORN is a large national organization, our insurance crisis is a blip on their radar, but they have offered support.

They have no web site that I could find. However, Jim Hart is Vice President.

|
The CCFJ web site declares: "we're a Cyberspace organization intent upon making "We The People" instrumental in beneficially influencing government and improving the political, economic and social aspects affecting the lives of Florida citizens." |
Floridians In Action
Their web site states : "Floridians in Action is a community interest group conceived to maintain oversight of issues that have a dramatic impact in the lives of Floridians. Our first campaign is called "Insured Floridians In Action", which will deal with property insurance issues and the lowering of these rates. Our mission is to voice the opinions, ideas and discontent of Floridians, at the lack of our state elected and appointed officials in Tallahassee to face big insurance during the past few years."
